Information from DQS Medizinprodukte GmbH regarding a counterfeit EC Certificate and the misuse of a CE-Mark.

Frankfurt am Main, 20 January 2012 – DQS Medizinprodukte GmbH has knowledge about a product from the Italian company Doctor’s Program S.r.l. known as “Cristal Face”. The product’s intended use is for “the volume restoration and contouring of the body surface and face”. This product has been placed onto the market illegally labelled with the CE-Mark “CE0297”. DQS Medizinprodukte GmbH has never, at any time, issued a certificate to the company authorising the use of our CE-Mark.

In November 2011, DQS Medizinprodukte informed the Federal office for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices (BfArM) about these operations. By 16th January 2012, DQS Medizinprodukte GmbH informed the relevant European Health Authorities regarding a product illegally placed onto the market and have strongly recommended to immediately recall this product from the national markets.
